Sign InThis private day trip combines two places in one day: the university city of Oxford and Burford, a Cotswold town about 20 miles west of Oxford. A MisterFare driver collects you in London, drives you to both, waits between stops and brings you back in the evening.
In Oxford you have around three and a half hours on foot. The historic centre is compact: the Radcliffe Camera, the Sheldonian Theatre and Hertford Bridge, often called the Bridge of Sighs, are all within a few minutes' walk of each other and can be seen from the street. If you want to go inside, Christ Church and the Bodleian Library sell their own tickets and tours, which you book directly with them.
Burford is a short drive along the A40. Its High Street runs downhill to the River Windrush, lined with stone houses, independent shops and pubs. At the foot of the town is the parish church of St John the Baptist, a large wool church begun in the twelfth century, which is open daily and free to enter.
This trip is different from our Cotswolds Villages Day Trip, which spends the whole day in the villages. Here you get a shorter look at Oxford and at one Cotswold town, Burford, rather than Bibury or a multi-village route.
The driver is not a guide. Plan your route in Oxford in advance, or book one of the official walking or library tours.
Timings are agreed with you when the booking is confirmed and depend on traffic and your chosen ticket times.
Oxford's centre is largely flat but has cobbled lanes and narrow pavements; some college and library areas have steps. Burford High Street is on a noticeable slope. The church lists a ramp, an accessible toilet and a hearing loop (A Church Near You). Check step-free access with each venue before booking. Walking level: moderate.
Saloon or Executive Saloon for up to 3 passengers with 2 bags; SUV for up to 4 passengers with 4 bags; MPV for up to 6 passengers; Van for up to 8 passengers. Minibus and coach sizes are not offered.
Attraction tickets are separate and follow the attraction's own refund rules. Read the full Tour Cancellation & Amendment Policy
Private tour price, per vehicle: choose a vehicle size when you book. Larger parties need more than one vehicle, and the total is shown before you book.
Attraction admission and tickets are not included. Timed tickets may need booking in advance with the official seller; you can ask for help with tickets when you book.

Extra time is never added automatically. If you ask to extend your day and it can be arranged, it is charged per started 30 minutes (Saloon £20, Executive Saloon £37.50, SUV £40, MPV £42.50, Van £45), agreed with you first, within MisterFare's own maximum 13-hour driver day.
Child seats are available on request, subject to availability.
