Sign InThis is a private day trip by car that links three places west of London: Windsor Castle, Stonehenge and Bath. A MisterFare driver collects you in Central London, waits while you visit each stop and brings you back in the evening. Expect a day of around 12 to 13 hours, with roughly six to seven hours of that spent on the road.
The first stop is Windsor Castle, a working royal residence about 40 km from Central London. Visitors usually see the State Apartments and, except on Sundays, St George's Chapel. The castle is normally open Thursday to Monday and closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, and it can close at short notice for royal events, so this route operates only on days the castle is open.
From Windsor the route crosses into Wiltshire to Stonehenge. Entry is by timed ticket from English Heritage, and the stones are reached from the visitor centre by shuttle bus or on foot along a 1.5-mile route. Allow about one and a half to two hours on site. In autumn and winter the last entry is at 15:00, so the Stonehenge slot shapes the whole timetable.
The final stop is Bath, a UNESCO World Heritage city known for its Roman bathing complex and Georgian architecture. With around two hours you can visit the Roman Baths, which take last entry at 17:00, or walk past Bath Abbey, Pulteney Bridge and the Royal Crescent.
Tickets for Windsor Castle, Stonehenge and the Roman Baths are not included and are not sold by MisterFare; book them on the official websites before you travel. The driver is not a tour guide. Send a booking request with your date, party size and pickup address and MisterFare will reply with a quote.
Timings are agreed with you when the booking is confirmed and depend on traffic and your chosen ticket times.
Windsor Castle has a lift to the State Apartments and lends manual wheelchairs free of charge, but the precincts are on a slope. At Stonehenge the shuttle bus between the visitor centre and the stones is wheelchair accessible and the path around the stones is level, though partly mown grass. The Roman Baths are an ancient site with some uneven surfaces; check the official access pages before travelling. The vehicle can drop off close to entrances where stopping is permitted. Walking level: moderate.
Saloon or Executive Saloon for 1-3 passengers with up to 2 bags; SUV for up to 4 passengers; MPV for up to 6; Van for up to 8. Minibus and coach are not offered, so parties larger than 8 would need more than one vehicle. For a 12-hour day, an Executive Saloon, SUV or MPV gives more space for 3-4 passengers.
Attraction tickets are separate and follow the attraction's own refund rules. Read the full Tour Cancellation & Amendment Policy
