London to Oxford
London to Oxford
MisterFare's London to Oxford transfer is a private car with a driver, door to door: from a London home, hotel or office to a college, hospital, office or guesthouse in Oxford, with your luggage in the vehicle the whole way.
Measured from Charing Cross to central Oxford, the road distance is about 90 km (56 miles), mostly on the A40 and M40. In free-flowing traffic the drive takes around 1 h 40 min; leaving London in the weekday evening peak can add a good deal more, so allow extra time if you are travelling then.
The journey suits students and families moving in at the start of term with cases and boxes, academic visitors and interview candidates heading to the University of Oxford, conference delegates, and visitors who would rather not change trains with luggage. Parts of central Oxford are closed to through traffic by bus gates, so the exact drop-off point in the city centre is agreed with you when the booking is confirmed.
In the booking form you can choose a saloon, executive saloon, SUV, MPV or van; each shows how many passengers and bags it takes, and larger groups can book more than one vehicle.
Prices are calculated for each vehicle from the road distance and are shown in the booking form below before you book. Booking online sends a request: no payment is taken online, and MisterFare confirms the booking and its details with you before you travel. If you want the driver to stay with you for a day in Oxford rather than a one-way transfer, see the Oxford day trip, which is quoted on request.
