Private London Highlights Full Day Tour by Car

This full-day option gives you a private car and driver for around eight hours to see London's best-known landmarks at your own pace. The driver collects you from your address or hotel, follows a planned route through Westminster and the City of London, and drops you near each landmark so you can walk, take photos or go inside.

A typical day starts at Buckingham Palace and the Victoria Memorial. If you would like to watch Changing the Guard, the ceremony does not take place every day and can be cancelled at short notice, so check the official Household Division schedule before you choose your date and the route can be timed around it.

From there the route passes Horse Guards Parade and Whitehall to Parliament Square, with the Palace of Westminster, Elizabeth Tower and Westminster Abbey close together. Further stops include Trafalgar Square, St Paul's Cathedral, and the Tower of London with Tower Bridge beside it. Time is left for lunch, and the order can be adjusted when you book.

Central London has many red routes and restricted streets, so the driver drops off and collects at the nearest legal place, which may be a short walk from the landmark itself. Going inside Westminster Abbey, St Paul's or the Tower uses up a large share of the day, so most guests choose one or two interiors at most.
