About This Tour

This is a private transfer built around a walk through Westminster. We collect you from your London address, drop you near Parliament Square, and collect you later near Buckingham Palace. The walk between is about 2 km, through Whitehall, Horse Guards Parade and St James's Park.

From Parliament Square you can see the Palace of Westminster and Elizabeth Tower, the clock tower that holds the bell known as Big Ben. Going inside needs a ticket from UK Parliament. Guided and audio tours of Parliament run mainly on Saturdays and during recess. Big Ben tours are for ages 11 and over, involve more than 300 steps and sell out early.

Westminster Abbey stands across the square. It is open to sightseers Monday to Saturday and for worship only on Sundays. Tickets are sold by the Abbey.

Buckingham Palace is seen from outside for most of the year. Its State Rooms open to ticket holders only in summer; in 2026 the opening ran from 9 July to 27 September. Royal Collection Trust sells the tickets.

Changing the Guard at Buckingham Palace usually starts at about 11:00 on set days, but the schedule changes and ceremonies can be cancelled. Check the Household Division calendar before choosing your date, and arrive early for a view.

MisterFare provides the vehicle and driver only. Our driver is not a guide, and tickets are not included.

Approximate plan for the day

  • Pickup in Central London — Collection from your address or hotel.
  • Drop-off near Parliament Square — View the Palace of Westminster and Elizabeth Tower (Big Ben) from outside.
  • Westminster Abbey (optional, own ticket) — Seen from outside, or visited inside with a ticket bought from the Abbey (Monday to Saturday).
  • Whitehall and Horse Guards Parade — Walk up Whitehall past Downing Street gates to Horse Guards Parade.
  • St James's Park to Buckingham Palace — Walk through the park to the Victoria Memorial. On ceremony days Changing the Guard starts about 11:00 (check calendar).
  • Collection near Buckingham Palace — Pickup at an agreed point (depends on road closures) and return to your address.

Timings are agreed with you when the booking is confirmed and depend on traffic and your chosen ticket times.
