About This Tour

This is a private car route between London locations that appear in the Harry Potter films. A MisterFare driver collects you, drives you from stop to stop and sets you down close to each place, so you only walk short distances. It is not a guided walking tour and the driver does not give a commentary.

The route usually starts at King's Cross station, where a luggage trolley set into the wall marks Platform 9¾. Taking your own photograph is free; a shop next to it sells merchandise and offers paid professional photographs. Nearby, the terraced houses of Claremont Square in Islington were used for the exterior of 12 Grimmauld Place.

In the City of London, Leadenhall Market stood in for the area around Diagon Alley in Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, and a doorway in Bull's Head Passage was used as the entrance to the Leaky Cauldron. The market's public areas are open at all times. A short drive away, the Millennium Bridge appears in Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince; you can walk onto it from the St Paul's side.

The route then heads west to the Strand, where Australia House was used for interior scenes of Gringotts bank. It is an official building, so you can see it only from the street. In Westminster, Great Scotland Yard was used as the visitors' entrance to the Ministry of Magic, and Lambeth Bridge appears in the Knight Bus scene.

Stops can be changed when you request a quote. The trip is price on request.
